Private Client Solicitor role:

We are excited to be recruiting a Private Client Solicitor to join a very well-established team in either Peterborough or Nottingham. The successful Private Client Solicitor will have demonstrable experience of advising mass affluent clients with Inheritance Tax planning/Estate planning and Estate administration work. Ideally you will be a minimum of 3-5 years PQE. 

Please note some travel and out of hours working will be required for business development, meetings, and training purpose.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing and innovative sub-team within our Private Client department as we grow due to further success as a team and company.

Responsibilities of a Private Client Solicitor:

• An integral part of the Private Client team, focusing on delivering a high-quality service to specific clients in accordance with agreed processes and supporting the overall development of the team.

• Reporting to Line Manager and Partners in the department to assist with general caseload to include IHT planning, Wills and LPAs, some Estate Administration and Lifetime Trusts.

• Ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and building appropriate relationships with clients.

• Working to agreed and stringent deadlines

• Adherence to agreed quality procedures and management systems.

• Undertake and deliver work in a commercially effective manner.

• Development of technical and non-technical skills to meet client and firm requirements and demonstrate continuous improvement in all areas of work.

• Delivery of individual targets with minimal supervision.

• Proactively attracting work according to the needs of the firm.

Skills and experience of a Private Client Solicitor:

• Relevant Professional Qualification

• Strong legal skills and knowledge in a Private Client setting.

• Responsible for a broad and varied caseload including IHT planning, Wills and LPAs, some Estate Administration and Lifetime Trusts

• Ability to adhere to and work to meet tight deadlines

• Sound knowledge of all private matters, with excellent communication skills.

• You will be proactive and passionate about your career.

• Proven results in supporting business development across a team or firm.

• Working knowledge of case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.

• Ability to pay close attention to detailed instructions

• A strong team player with a motivational hands-on approach.

• Uses initiative, plans and organises own time and workload to meet deadlines and prioritises work.

• A measured and rational approach to problem-solving.

• Deals confidently and diplomatically with clients and other stakeholders.

• Demonstrates integrity and congruence when dealing with people.

• Ability to adhere to and work to meet tight deadlines
