Are you looking to take your first step into a finance career or build on your existing experience?
Buckles Law are seeking a Finance Associate to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is either starting out in finance or has some experience within a finance team and is eager to expand their skills in a professional services environment.
This position is a full-time (Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:30) fixed term contract until December 2026 and is office based – with some potential working from home options.
Finance Associate:
The role requires the individual to complete any in-house financial administrative support needed to continue to deliver seamless legal services to clients.
The candidate must be able to work effectively in a busy team environment and must be able to prioritise and organise their workload effectively. The candidate will have a pro-active nature and have a can-do attitude and be someone who wants to learn and develop within finance.
The key duties include:
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
- Update ledgers and reconcile accounts.
- Posting and reconciling and completing accounts payable transactions
- Support senior staff in compiling data for audits.
- Match bank statements with internal records.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Respond to internal queries related to finance.
Skills and experience for the Finance Associate:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of debits, credits, and general ledger principles.
- Familiar with using Microsoft Excel
- Exposure to accounting software or systems would be advantageous
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Uses initiative, plans and organises own time and workload to meet deadlines and prioritise work.
- Handling multiple tasks with accuracy
- Ability to investigate discrepancies and problem solve.
- A strong team player and with a can-do attitude.
